Privacy Policy

Tap Water Is Safe is a static, informational website. You can browse the globe, search countries, and read every scored page without creating an account and without giving us any personal information. This policy explains the little data that is involved.
What we collect
- No accounts, no forms. We don’t ask for your name, email, or location to use the site.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. These are not used to identify you personally.
- Privacy-respecting analytics. We may use aggregate, cookie-light analytics to understand which pages are useful. This measures traffic in aggregate — it is not used to profile individuals.
- Your browser only. Small conveniences (such as a remembered view) may be stored in your own browser and never leave your device.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent personal data.
- We don’t run advertising trackers or share data with ad networks.
- We don’t build advertising profiles about you.
Third-party data sources
Our content is built from public data published by the WHO/UNICEF JMP, the US EPA, and France’s Hub’Eau. Visiting those sources through our links is subject to their own privacy policies.
